What is a good gph for powerbeads in this tank. What are some recommendations for a noob to the hobbie. And how many should I have?

Dimensions: 12.5"L x 30.25"W x 13"H

It really depends on what your want to keep. SPS, LPS, Softies, FOWLR, bare bottom or sand bed.
On a 29gallon standard mixed reef I use a WP-10 and a Aqueon 500.

A general rule of thumb that I've seen is to have your total tank movement (that includes HOB filter, skimmer, powerheads, etc.) equal 10 times your total tank volume. This is for "standard" use, whatever that means. Probably good enough for some fish and soft corals. For you ten times your tank volume is 200 gallons per hour, so you would need the total gph of your system to add up to 200.

To keep hard corals, you'll probably want something more like 20-30 times your tank volume. Again, for you that is 400-600gph total.

i say you get a jeabo wp-10 or the newer model the rw-4. i have the wp-25 in my 29 gallon (same length and width) and it really moves water. i have it on the lowest setting. I think that would be the easiest way to go and its pretty cheap too.

p.s they can make waves which are pretty cool to watch.

In a small tank it is really a matter of direct flow over water movement. I have an 84x gph turnover in my 125 and I could definitely stand to have more. I am however able to easily disperse the flow from power heads in such a large tank. You do not want a power head directly blasting any corals.
