Powerheads on Apex

I just ordered my Apex and went ahead and purchased the dimming/variable speed module for AI down the road. My question is could I use Evo 1400 on the variable speed function. I think the tunze 6055 is compatible but wanted to try these first to see if I like the effect that is produced before dropping $400. Also if these are compatible is anything else needed to get these to work? Cables or anything.

Thanks for the help in advance. This is my first controller so excuse my ignorance.

I should explain that I am not really looking to turn these on and off but more for slow flow to full flow etc.

If you want the full flow, connect it through a surge protector or an extension with multiple sockets.

The EB8 won't be able to detect small wattage components, unless they're on the 4th and 8th sockets. I run multiple Evo 1400,s and each socket has EB8 socket has at least 4 of them daisy chained d on there.

Hope that helps!

No, the Evo does not work with the variable speed ports on the Apex or VDM. You can only do on/off control when the pumps are connected to an EB8 or EB4. You can do nice timed wavemaker functions using the Oscillate command in the Apex though, but once again, only on or off.

The only pumps the variable speed ports will control are controllable Tunze pumps.

Ok thanks for the help guys. I want to see the tunze 6095 before I buy the 6055 so I guess I will just wait until september.
