Powershot A85?????? HELP ME PLEASE

well thats the comera i have and i woudl liek to take some shots of my corals but i cannot for the life of me get a clear shot. Can someone jsut please help me with the basics of getting a good macro shot???

Are you using a tripod? Are ypu shooting perpendicular to the glass? Post some of the pics so we can see what you are doing wrong.

i jsut dont think i have the settings right, i have a tripod and i take them perpendicular to the glass, what settings shoould the camera be on?
