Prazipro and Marinepure

Wondering if anyone has experience using Prazipro with Marinepure media? I intend on using prazipro as part of a QT process, in a QT tank seeded with some mature Marinepure.

Do I have to worry about the Marinepure absorbing the medication and skewing the dosage? Also, should I be concerned with the Marinepure leaching prazipro back into my display tank if I add it back into my sump?

I've read a lot about how Marinepure will absorb copper but haven't been able to find anything on prazipro.

Shouldn't be a concern leaching back into your display - the active ingredient in PP breaks down in 3-5 days, and this medication is reef safe anyway, so even if it did leach I don't think it would kill anything. I would assume you don't have to worry about absorption affecting the dose rate since you can dose PP with LR and sand in the tank (unlike copper).

Good points. Thank you. My main concern was it leaching back into the display and killing off some inverts. But to your point if it breaks down in 3 to 5 days, I’ll keep it with some carbon for a week and add them back after.
