Hi looking at some threads regarding Prazi Pro and someone mentioned it is only effective in the water for 72 hours? is this true?

Should I run it for 72 hours and then do a water change, how big of a water change?

How soon should I do a second dose, 72 hours after?

Thanks

My PraziPro protocol consists of Dose#1, wait 5 days, 25% water change then dose#2,wait 5 days, 25% water change, run carbon.

Follow instructions right on the package..

Directions:
For the treatment of praziquantel-susceptible disease conditions in freshwater and marine aquariums. NOTE: Not recommedend for reef aquariums with Feather Duster Worms or other ornamental worms.
Start treatment with as large a water change as practical or start with new water. Any water used should first be conditioned to remove ammonia, chlorine and chloramines. Do not stop filtration, but remove activated carbon and stop foam-fractionation (protein skimming) and UV sterilization.

Shake vigorously before use. Measure at the rate of one (1) teaspoon per 20 gallons of water to be treated (One (1) fl. oz. per 120 gallons). This produces a concentration of 2.5 mg/L. Distribute the proper amount around the edge of the aquarium or directly into the filter box to achieve the best overall distribution.

A single treatment lasting 5-7 days is normally sufficient. Repeat as necessary, but no more than once every 3 to 5 days.

On day 5 of treatment I have decided to do not a 25% water change run some carbon and skimmer. Now I have noticed a potential fluke on my clown fishes face so there could still be flukes lurking in my tank. I'm thinking of doubling the dose this time. Should I wait the 3 day's before dosage again or act immediately after water change? I also have a wrasse are they sesitive to prazi pro at double dosing?

Plain and simple.

I hear your comments but the instructons also sau upping the dose has no gains but I have read threads where people has dosed 2x 3x the dosage to treat stubborn flukes. I'm happy to do that but I have a wrasse and I've read they are sensitive to prazi pro.

So, when you're getting ready to dose the QT with a second round of Prazipro, the second dose isn't less than the first one? You can safely do a %20 water change and dose the recommended amount like the first time without running the risk of over dose?
