Premium Aquatics in Newark?????

So I was at the shopping center where the old Newark tropicals used to be and, low and behold, another fishstore is opening at the old Newark Tropicals Store. If this is THE "Premium Aquatics" It might make me jump right back into the hobby.
Does anyone have any info. on this.

i know nothing about it but it would b great to have a good fish store that is closer....still an hour away but better then an hour and half or more

I bet its the old owner under a new name... possibly infringing on another companies name.

Doubt it - Newark tropicals sold off all their equipment.

Yeah, Craig got lucky as anything when they closed down. Will be nice to have another good LFS near by.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted let everyone know this store opening up is not affiliated with our company in any way. It's the first we even heard of it, so not sure if it's a name infringement on our company or not.

So as of know, the only "Premium Aquatics" is just us in Indiana.

sounds like a legal war to me....and maybe a short visiting LFS....hopefully everything gets settled there and we can get a good store around here.....while on the topic of LFS does ne one know what the deal with the fish bowl really is...like has neone suggested to them that on a high school scale an F would be a compliment for them? (nicest way i could put it) maybe after im done with all my studying and upgrade training i can apply for a weekend job or something and help the store out ?!? just a thought

I wouldn't help that store out. I really don't think the owner or employees really care about anything about making money and seriously they don't seem to care about that. The only lady I ever see in there never seems to be doing anything, but reading magazines behind the counter while tons of fish are floating in the tanks. It is hard to help someone out when they don't really want to help themselves.

The sign in the window reads,"comming soon PREMIUM AQUATICS" OOPS! Maybe I tipped somone off on a name infringement problem.
I hope it gets settled.I hope it's a nice store when it opens.Thats all I'm saying now.

I went by tonight - they have the windows so covered up I oculdn't even get a peek inside. I'm thinking about going back with a ladder so I can see over the top of the paper.


Amazing what this hobby wil make a person do isn't it?!

I know Newark tropicals wasn't especially liked, but I got some really good deals there... I miss having a decent store to stop at on the way home from work on Fridays

we got a new petsmart in my hometown and they had paper up to for a while.....kinda weird but hey i guess it makes it more interesting when they open

This is exciting news. I was really hoping that the stores on rte 40 would be more into the reef stuff, but sadly there is no close by place to get any good sps other than DRMAC, ECA, TPP. None of which is on the way home.

alright from a source i just found out they hope and plan to be open by MID SEPT !

this store is happing but will be a few months to set it up !

I don't know know there would be any legel war over the name. I cover many many stores and there are some names that just repeat themselves, i.e. pet stop.
