Well I have to say I am quite impressed after my visit there today. I have been in several times but never looked at some of the pricing they had. I use crystal sea salt and they had the bio assay for 24.99 which is a great price. I also noticed that their frozen food is priced quite low compared to everyone else local. They had several coco worms priced at 39.99 which is a great deal and they looked good. These guys are really trying to give good service and pricing for a lfs. I think we need to support them because it been a long time coming that DE had a quality store and I would hate to lose that because we did'nt support them.

GREAT JOB premium aquatics and keep up the good work.

they sell sw stuff pretty quick...ive been there wed after they get a delivery and they usually have a real good selection.. but if you go in on the weekend everytthing good gets snatched up lol... but their prices are pretty good i think.

i stopped in today for the first time after reading all of the buzz on the forum. although i saw quite a few bad things, i realize the store is new and the positives really outweighed the negatives.

i picked up a small madarin for $16...seems very healthy but only time will tell with these guys.

the prices for fish are outstanding...they have an amazing RBTA for only $29...its about 3"...if anyone is looking they should jump on this deal.

anyways...its only minutes from my house...and the prices are great...i signed up for there frequent purchase thingy and will try to make a habit of stoppig in on shipment days.

so far so good.

I got my mandarin from there, and he's a fat little guy now..he's about twice the size he was when I got him...

yeah...my last one was quite the fatty....i had him for almost two years....even if he wasnt one of my favorite fish...i would probably buy one out of neccessity...my pod population is out of control.

A ROSE bubble tip for $29? Seriously? That's insane, anywhere else they are over $100. I got mine from another RC member, it has better colors then any I've seen in an store, but I paid $80 for it, it's huge though, about 10".

yeah..i saw pics of the one you got. if i didnt have one i would have been on it in a minute. the RBTA at PR was beautiful...the same size and quality that normally goes for $80 online. It was all the way at the top of the tank on the glass so...the def dont have sufficient lighting in the tank...but hopefully it will find a good home before it starts to bleach.

Ok... so i know its kinda off topic but how would you guys recommend getting a RBTA to detach? I have a few that I want to get rid of but I cant move the rocks they are on...

very careflully:D

one way that has always worked for me is putting the rock the anemone is on in front of a powerhead. In my experience BTAs hate the stong direct flow and will begin to move...once they pull there foot up and begin to move they are very easy to gently pull away from the rock.

That's the best way. Get them to move, better onto the glass. Once they root their foot into a rock, you'll probably never get them off without damaging them.

I can't believe they have a RBTA for $29. I may stop in there tomorrow, that's unreal.

Actually It is not a rose, it is a bubble tip for sure but it is just like the one in mike's tank. It is more of a brownish / greenish color with bright orange tips. I will double check when I go in tomorrow, but unless we got something in that I am unaware of it is not a rose.

really? there are a couple of green ones that look brown under the lighting...but there was a small one about 3" that was on the glass towards the top of the tank. all of its tentacles were tight and retracted. regardless of what its being sold as it looks red to me...maybe i should get my eyes checked :) i mean its not like the different colors are different species :) if it looks red its sold as an rbta...if its looks green/brown it sells as a gbta.

Ice works wonders. I have used ice cubes to remove many an anemone from rocks.
Just rub the cube around the foot and it will release.

Yeah I figured... the only problem is most of them are on rocks holding something up and the other ones that I need to get off are surrounded by corals. :(
