Pricing a coral for sale

I need help. I have been contemplating this for a while and need advice on how to price a bubble. He is fairly standard as far as color, but he is really big. I have him in a 46 and its just taking up a lot of room. The stores locally seem to want 40-50 for a fairly small one right now. They used to be so cheap.

Anyway I would guesstimate size to be around (minimum) 10"-8". I think thats fairly conservative but it will definitely cover those dimensions. At this time I am really not looking to sell it, just looking to figure out reasonable pricing.

When we bought ours a couple months ago, we paid $60 for one that is a little bigger than a baseball when it's open. The same store sells larger ones, a little bigger than a softball for $90.

id say around $60 to $80, yes the store may price them higher but thats because they have too.. i see it this way.. id rather sell a coral for $50 to someone i know will take care of it and watch it grow and stay healthy, than get $100 for someone who could care less and they just wanted it cause it looked nice..

Price it higher than what you expect, someone will always lowball, then opt for something in between and you will both be happy!

If you start off too low, you will get tons of potential buyers, some might even offer more and if you decide not to sell to one person and take the higher offer, you will just look 'bad'.
