Pricing??

Okay so I have a Duncan and a branching frog spawn and iv never sold anything in my tank so I was wondering how much I should sell them for..

I'm just gonna post pics so u can see them with a brief description...

My Duncan has 8 heads ranging from 2 to 3 inches per head then it has 1 small head that's maybe a inch then 2 heads that are only 1/4 inch .. How much would it be worth...

My frog spawn just recently finished splitting from one 6 inch head into two 3 inch heads... It has 7 new baby's growing from its skirt.. How much as a whole .

Duncans are worth about $5 per adult head around here. Babies don't count for anything as far as price goes. The frogspawn is probably worth $10 and again those babies don't count for anything as far as price is concerned.

My frog spawn was going for 189.99 before it split.. Where are you from that you are getting them 5 a head .. Liveaquaria has them for 189.99 plus 62 for shipping..for a large

Those corals would probably go for about $15-$20 dollars around here. They're both very common and almost every LFS in the areas has them for sale.

+1. That is the exact price for them at my LFS.

Check craigslist in your area for prices. Around here frogspawn/hammers go for about 10-15 a head and the duncan less (private party sale, My LFS charges an arm for the duncan, a leg for the frogspawn, and your firstborn for a good colony)

You cant compare an LFS price to what people would pay for private party sales. Just like if you take your coral into the LFS for tradein you are not going to get near what they sell the item for. Then you have online which is slightly more then a decent local LFS.

My LFS would charge closer to 20 per head and perhaps 25 if a rarer color but private party I would be expecting to pay closer to 10-15.

You know I always wondered how online stores sell any coral at the prices they list. I mean if it's rare and you want it then price is obsolete. But for hammers, frogspawn, torches, trumpets, zoas, etc???? I use to just give away heads for free.
