prob with finger leather coral

It looks good to me. Opening up and closing is just part of the growth process. Have you seen it shed yet? They'll do this periodically. I wouldn't worry too much about it right now but if you want you could always step up the flow around it. The base on these corals is very strong and they seem to like the additional current IME. It's definitely worth a shot. HTH.
 
yes it sheads every 4 days like i said its like clock work for 1 day its fine then like pic 1 for 3-4 days it sucks anything bad i should be looking for?

Not really. That coral looks very healthy. It's a shame it's not staying open for you though. With all that coralline algae I'm assuming your parameters are within reason. These corals are not that particuliar about lighting, so that's out. The only thing I can think of is more flow. GL.
 
i have a 8 bulb nova t5 ph ? ammonia,0 nitrite,0 ,0-5 calcium,420-450 dkh 9-10, phosphat,0 lfs says my nitrate are 0 my kit says around 5 so dont know for sure i have been running bio pellets for almost 2 months dont have the funds to buy a new test kit cause im going to cancun friday

as flow i have a double return with one of them pointing right at it return pump is a deep blue triton 4 pump
