problem in the fish room

There's water on my basement floor behind the fish room. I am not sure where it's from. I checked for leaks and can't find anything from the tank or the sump. I also checked the plumbing, nothing. My house is only 14 months old and I know there was a foundation issue before but not nearly close to the current spot. They had fixed that issue and now there's water on my floor again. I am thinking it's from the current flash flood strength rain. I tasted the water on the floor and I didn't taste any salt. What the....Ahhhhh....

Thanks for listening

if there was a foundation problem somewhere else in your house, I dont think its unreasonable for you to think it may be that

this rain tonight was ridiculous, I had a river flowing through "my" front yard

I agree with Latazyo. My sump is running and it has not run in 3 years. I also have a lake in between my house and the house behind me.

I was a carpenter for some time, and a house that is only 14 months old has every reason to still have foundation issues. There is constant moving in your house for quite some time after the initial build and move-in. You probably have or have had some small cracks in your ceilings as well. With the rain last night I thought I'd start seeing animals 2 by 2 start running through my woods in my backyard.

No more rain....no more water on the floor. Hope it's under warranty. Now, i just have to replicate the issue with Vantage Homes. I guess I can turn the hose on and let water get into the basement again.

I would call them today.. There should be a water mark showing signs there was a leak.. I would think it would still be under a warranty.

Was it by the Wall? I have seen a lot of new homes leak where the Floor meets the wall.

With the rain last night I thought I'd start seeing animals 2 by 2 start running through my woods in my backyard.

LOL

I had someone finish about 1200 sq. ft of my basement and unfortunately, where the problem might be is in the finished area. I have checked for a water mark but still can't find too much evidence. I think I have 10 year foundation warranty.
