Problem wih RO unit !help please!!!

I am taking care of my neibors reef.It is 150 gallons.He has an RO water system.I went to feed his fish and it was making a wierd noise.Every three to ssevon seconds it maks a noise like tshch.I am not sure what to do because I hav only been in the hobby 4 -5 monthes and i dont have an RO system(yet).The tank is 150 gallons with a 35g sump(i think),a huge skimmer(not sure what kind.I cant remember the name,a 36w turbo twist uv,and some eco aquilizer thing.And other stuff i think.The water semms to be going thru a tube( after it exits the RO unit and thru some metal grid box thing.then thru something else.or the wall,I cant remember.Please help.Oh yah.I just remembered that i noticed his hippo tang acting weird.He would dart around and go hide.Please help with that to.

maybe its his solenoid valve attach to the membrane chamber makibg that. I had some friends claiming that their valve is making that wird sound. As for that hippo tang...just leave him alone...fish have some wierd personalities.

The selinoids do make weird sounds some times. As long as nothing is overflowing you should be ok. Does he have a lot of turbulance in the location that he has the float valve placed?

Thank you. I was lucky because he came home 2-3 days after and fixed it.He was lucky thhat he came home because it started leaking.Sort of?I think?
