problem with my RO super skimmer

hi i need if anyone can help me to diagnotic if my problem is the impeller or the pump itself , when i turn my BB 1000 off and try to turn it on again i have to us a stick in the impeller to make it spins if i don do that some times it spins with a delay or other it dont do anything. the problem is with the impeller or the pump?

How old is the skimmer and when is the last time you cleaned the pump? Sounds like a calcium buildup on the magnet of the impeller.

i clean it every 1 month and clean the impeller it a scotch brite and how old im not sure because i bought used.

could the magnet on the impeller started to swell. This would cause the impeller to get stuck. You may need a new impeller from coralvue. Depending on age it could be under warentee but impossible if bought used.
