Problem with new neptune lab grade probe

I just bought a new Neptune lab grade ph probe and calibrated it multiple times yet it always shows my PH to be around 4.3 or close to that. Is the probe defective or is there something else wrong. I calibrated it using ph7 and ph10 solutions like I was supposed to. Any help on this would be appreciated.

What controller? What were the numbers shown at the bottom of the display in each of the calibration solutions? Did you take the rubber cap off the tip of the probe?

1SickReefer, you'd be surprised by the number of people that call with this problem.

I did take the rubber cap off. The controller is the aquacontroller pro. The numbers in the 7.0 solution were around 5.7 and in the 10.0 they were around 7.8

Did you put the the temperature probe and pH probe into the calibration solution? The temperature probe is the ground reference for the pH probe and is required for an accurate calibration.

Please give me a call 408-578-3022 when you are front of the controller, and I'll help with the calibration. It is not very likely that the pH probe is defective.
