QT, period.
With Acro FW, Monti nudis [neither respond to anything less than Levamisole] and red bugs ... IMO QT + observation is the safest.
When coming from a tank I know very well, a reefer I trust ...
or for a few corals that came from a trusted LFS, I have removed them from any hard substrate [rock/plug] and put them in a 6 hour interceptor bucket treatment [heater, powerhead for full treatment duration] - but that does still leave me open for AEFW.
Honestly, observation in QT is best and safest - and while I've violated that rule for a few Acropora ... it's bad practice IMO.
Lots of opinions here - but I'm not a fan of dips, as generally to affect red bugs/etc you have to perform a nearly toxic dip ... not something I like on a brand-new coral to me.
