progression pics of my oregon tort

Daniel was wanting pics and I am just now getting around to posting the ones I shot for him weeks ago!

My frag was really big and browned out though. I am amazed it has colored up so well in my toxic tang soup I call a tank :lol: Especially since I have been skimmerless more ofter then not the last few months!

When I got it in I broke it in half as I owed a frag to a freind. Yes my 1 frag actually made 2 nice sized ones and a small one as a favor to another freind!! The tiny branch I broke off is not pictured.

And 3 tiny tips were floating in the bag so I tried to save them as well

All I can say is this is the best color in my tank! Love this coral!!

And only one of the tips made it but it is colored nice and growing ever so slowley!!

I am amazed at the color I am getting out of my acros since the red buggs got zapped! The tort came in after the treatments and got a full 24 hr dip in interceptor just to be safe!! My orange didi is orange again and all my frogspawns have rebounded. The coral in question I think brought them in has colored up wonderful and starting to grow like mad now. I will post up some pics of it in a min.

This is the unknow coral I picked up lat min for like $5 who was always bleached and plain looking. I dipped in coral dip stuff but no interceptor and the rest is history, red bug outbreak. Live and learn! This was about a month after the swap.

And about a month ago... It has started growing and getting a nice purple coloration on the tips. I am thinking something like a Valadia thingy? I never know the name of things or how to spell them :lol:.

Also notice how nice my dragon eye zoas filled in in such a short time. I pulled the hole center out of them and sold at the swap and they filled back in really fast. Love those zoas!

And HATE those stinkin shrooms. Free shrooms to anyone who can scrap them out of my tank. They are taking over everything .

Very nice pics Angela. I would agree on your ID of that coral. It looks to be incrusting the plug very well. I can't wait to see your tank this Wed. BTW what camera are you using? Want to trade some of your waving hand for those shrooms? lol.
