Bought this frag for $10. It has really surprised me starting basically brown. Grows quite fast as the sequence starts 3/18/14 at 1" to 5/8/14 doubling in size with several branches. Any ideas?

Thanks... perhaps desalwii. This is gonna be a fast grower so another month will reveal more. The branches are very delicate and are coloring up quite nicely. The $10 frag was essentially part of some tester frags for a new build. Now its one of my favorites. Acro Blackswan for now.

Seems awful similar to Vivid Rainbow delight. $10 was an absolute steal!

Wish I could get $10 frags like that from my LFS.

Dont mean to rub it in, but here in Socal, there are a lot of stick pushers. And the big wholesalers keep our habit satisfied. Its a buyers market for generic frags that are made from wild stock that are not given the time to color up in holding tanks. I have heard the term "chop shop" which seems pretty accurate. From retail stores to the home garage hobbyist, competition keeps the price reasonable. I do confess that many of my $10 frags rival my best signature frags.
