Any suggesions on how to keep the wall behind my tank from getting messed up? I have a 125 I am starting back up as a fish only tank. I had it in my last house and it really did a job on my wall. I have a really nice house and my wife will kill me if I mess up another wall. Should I hang plastic behind it or vinyl or something else? Will glass top prevent any and all problems? I had a glass top last time except over my sump overflow and still ended up with problems.

If you can have a plastic sheet or maybe a black or blue sheet of acrilyc that would serve as background on the lower portion and wall protection on the above setcion I guess you should cause no effects unless you drip salt water behind which is always a risk.
One other solution would be to treat the wall with humidity resisting treatment. Maybe some sillicon spray would do a good job.
