protien skimmers?

i have a 55 gal tank and don't know which type of skimmer is better to get : a dual coralvue for $120 or a dual bak pak for $250? i want to be able to do soft and hard corals. i'm using a fluval filter 304 and don't know if i need to spend double the money is the bak pak that much better?

i was not aware that coralvue made skimmers. Are you looking to get HOB skimmer or an in sump model?

Prizm's have mixed reviews and are noisey from what I hear here and from the ones at the LFS. A HOB turbofloater would be better than all that were mentioned so far, IMO. Some are also quite happy with their Corallife Super Skimmers as well.

I am also starting up a 55 Gal reef, and in my research, Im hearing good reviews on the AquaC Remora.

just in case you didnt read the calfo pages, which you really should, he endorses the aqua c stuff.

so if hang on the back is what you want, that should be high on your "check it out" list
