protopaly / button polyps

So it turns out these cool looking giant palys I have are so big and so fast growing that they are out competing my good zoas and palys.
I was told to inject a few a day with peroxide. Just did my first few, and the closed, threw off some mucus and bubbles, and now, 30 minutes later, look like nothing happened. IDK, I was expecting an immediate result. Am I wrong, or do I need to up the ante to Joe's Juice or lemon juice etc?

Not sure if peroxide is best. I would turn off your circulating pumps and inject them with the thickest kalk paste you can squeeze trough your syringe. Don't do too many at once, especially in a nano. Watch your pH and especially alkalinity. And you want to inject them with it, not just sprinkle it on top :)

I don't understand how you guys can just talk about killing the zoas and not even know for sure what they are.
The description could be for a P. grandis or for a Z. gigantus.

Too many chemicals in such small the tank, specially kalkwasser, could drive the ionic balance off and pH too high.

Please post a picture first, so we know what kind of zoanthid you're talking about.
Then, after the pic posted, we could try see what should be done.
That is my suggestion.

I just thought that was funny to imagine those zoas spiting the peroxide and growing even faster like nothing happened.
That would be a great cartoon! LOL!

I'll be very busy this week... hope others will be able to chime in and help here...
Have a nice week all!!!

Grandis.
