proven flatworm predators

After 15 years in the hobby, my proven solution to aptasia is lysmata wurdemanni and for bubble algae it is Green emerald mithrax crab.

Do any experienced reefers have a 'proven' (to you) predator for flatworms? Dragonnets, Wrasses (reef safe) or others?

Mystery Wrasse....Pseudocheilinus ocellatus........is very good
also the Melanurus Wrass....Halichoeres melanurus is good....just not as good as the Mystery.

I was going for Melanarus but they were out so I went with the next closest thing Vrolik's Wrasse (Halichoeres chrysotaenia)

worked out excellent so far

sixline and yellow wrasse ...
got one of each in a 65G and never say FW again.

dragonface pipefish for RB.

leopard and radiant wrasses

and if you're basting them off of corals--lyretail anthias, clowns, and vlmangii tangs will eat them in a hurry.

I wonder if different species of worms are tastier than others. My six line wouldn't touch em' and my lyretails or clowns wont eat the worms when blasted off the rocks.

The problem with a Mystery wrasse is that he ate my aptasia solutions (pep shrimp).

I may just go with some Fairy Wrasses and a Mandarin......?

I have used Synchiropus picturatus with great success in getting rid of flatworms. In no time at all they are not visible in the tank anymore, no matter how heavy the infestation was to begin with.

The question doesn't make much sense. You say prov en, but are asking for anecdotal success.

That having been said I never had flatworms but my friend cleared them up with a 6-line wrasse.

OK. Thanks for pointing out my 'faux pas'.

That's exactly why I said "'proven' (to you)" and gave examples of pest predators that have proven themselves 'to me'. The previous posts were exactly what I was looking for.

I've personally had success with the red planaria species of flatworms using Chelidonura varians.

The best fish I think is a melanurus wrasse it sleeps in the sand and comes out at night like a patroler watching all the corals for pests.
