It's taken me awhile to id, but I'm pretty sure I have 2 Pseudocorynactis or something very similar in my 55. What I see doesn't quite fit with Pseudocorynactis but is as close as I've been able to find. Unfortunately, I am unable to take photos where you can actually see them. :/ I'm trying to get as close as possible to an ID, so if you could throw some ideas my way, that would help.
During the day, the one 'mystery' I knew I had is closed and rimmed in bright green. It's triangular shaped (but might be because of the little nook it's in) and I looked like a single head of a favia. It has been in the exact same spot since I first noticed it about 6 weeks ago. At night, tentacles extend a short way.
Well, I was up later than usual last night and noticed that it was fully extended to about dime size with white and green tips on the end of the tentacles. It also looked like a solid but transparent body with a central mouth- about the size of a dime. Then I noticed a second, larger one slightly larger than a dime. One row of white tips and a row of green tips, because of the angle, I couldn't tell where it was attached- I had never noticed it before. Both critters closed up after having the flashlight on them.
