I have people over looking at my tank and my Porcupine puffer tucks his tail to his side and hides in corners of the tank and behind the overflows. This happened the last couple times I've had people over. They leave and like an hour or 2 later he's back to normal. Is he just acting funny seeing people he doesn't know? Thats what it seems like to me. He's perfectly normal any other time.

Mine does it that all the time. I think it is a sign that he is not completely relaxed. Kind of watching his back. I wouldn't worry about it.

How much decor do you have in there? When a puffer seems shy, it usually doesn't feel safe. With more hiding places/caves available, it knows it can retreat to them when ever he wants & tends to stay out more.
