I have tried to feed the fish for a week before he was eating the shrimp now he is just swimming in circles & not eating. Also before he was very calm & attentive to me. I'm afraid he may be getting ready to die.

How long have you had him? What kind of puffer? What size tank? Have you tested the water?

Need more info. What has changed in the tank?

Has he had parasites at all?

Anything new in the tank?
