Puffers and Triggers

Do they mix well, or do they do like lions and triggers and nip at each other?

They are fine together, unless you have a really aggressive trigger. My Porc puffer and Black trig are always trying to steal food from everyone.

agree...never had any issues with my triggers and puffers...having said that, you can never trust some triggers...

I have a Picasso, niger, and porcupine.....No issues here. BUT my triggers are very mild. I would try to observe the fish prior to purchase if possible.

Most of the time the two are fine, size of tank and species of each. I know most people worry if the trigger is going to due something, but puffers are just as likely to attack another fish. I had a 8" Stars & Stripes take half face off a 6" clown trigger and took the whole tail off a 8" Lunare Wrasse.
