Pulsing Xenia and too much flow?

I have some pulsing xenia elongata and is it possible to have them in too much flow? I moved them in a place with more light but it has stronger flow and they are open but they won't pulse in the new place... is it because there is too much flow?

IME, Xenia prefers moderate current, and when placed in a high current area, they tend to stop pulsing. I believe it is because the pulsing action is how they create their own area of current around themselves, and so when they are in a higher current area, they don't need to pulse. I believe I read that somewhere, but I could be making it up, I don't know. :)

yeah that makes sense cuz i moved them into higher flow and they opened and did not pulse but then I moved them back cuz i wanted them to pulse and they started pulsing again when they opened back up... they used to pulse faster tho... maybe its just me haha

Usually, after moving a frag of xenia in my tank, I notice the pulsing action is somewhat slow, but with a little bit time the pulsing should return to it's usual rate.
