i just picked it up yesterday and stopped pulsing today? all my parameters are in check except i have a bit of phosphates since i haven't started using gfo yet it's at .25 phosphates
From what I read a while ago, its to do with available nutrients. If nitrates are high, they pulse, if nitrates are low, they stop pulsing. Not sure how accurate that is, but it's what I read on here a while ago.
do you guys know if it requires stronger lighting than a frogspawn? i put both my frogspawn and xenia at the bottom of the tank and they both open up well just that the xenia's don't pulse? i'll move it up soon but do you guys know if that could be the reason?

In my tank xenia grows better in higher flow areas. It also likes dirtier water. Be careful because if conditions are right it can spread all over your tank.
