Pulsing xenia

I have a question. I havehad a xenia frag for a while in my old 10 gal it only 40watts PC and it was doing good. I just moved it to my new 25 gal with MH/PC and it has shrunk. It looks healthy and is pulsing like crazy, but its about 1 1/2" shorter than it used to be. Now it's like a little ball, is the MH to bright for it? The xenia is 18" deep so i figured it could adjust at the depth. Here is a pic of it now, it's just so small now lol It's not the best pic, sorry :D

It could have actually been reaching for more light before... Xenia are known to be kinda funny though. They seem to begin to shrink sometimes for no known reason. I think it looks good in the pic, just keep an eye on it.

thats what i was thinking that it might have been streacing to get as much light as it could, but i guess it doesn't need to do that with MH

I've got to a lot of xenia in my 125 with pc it seems to love light but everyonce in a while like rev said it just acts funny one clump will shrivel up will the clump next to it is fine. It might just be adjusting keep an eye on it. Good luck.

I do have several pieces in my tank. The ones that seemed to be the hardiest before are now the smaller pieces and the ones that were smaller before are looking great...??? I dunno Y??

It will be fine once it get adjusted it will explode. I had a small clump in a 20G with 65w PC that wouldn't grow when I moved it to my 29G with a 400MH it took a couple weeks to adjust then it took over the world:eek1: It grew about 8 inches around with about 30 stalks I fragged off a few and twice as much grew back EVERYTHING it touched it migrated to. In the last few weeks I have taken off about 25 good sized frags 30-40 heads with 2 stalks and didn't make a dent in it.
Yeah so don't worry about it, it will be fine
