pump for reef octoskimer

anyone know if u can fit a sicce or like pump on the reef octopus recirc skimmers? the pump isnt that great, i want a better pinwheel/better volute. anynody done this before?

also how much air does the octopus dnwb 150 pull with the otp 2000

have you tried to mesh the otp 2000, i did that and had great results with the skimmer. only i had a single bypass, non recirc, and loved it. but it does perform much better with the mesh.
