pump noise

Hi, I have 2 vortechs running on my 125g I got in August. They are awesome pumps and I rerally love them.

They have been working flawlessly since I installed them until Thursday morning. I heard this noise and at first thought it might have gotten knocked out of balance. I tried adjusting the wet side per the instructions but still the noise. Today the noise seems much worse so when I got home from work I took the wet side out and cleaned it out. Made sure the pins were set properly and then reinstalled making sure to align it from the inside.

The noise isn't the vibration noise from unaligned sides. It's coming from the pump side but you can here the motor is humming fine, it sounds more like an intermitent shuddering...like maybe something is loose inside??

Is there something specific I can check or is this something I am going to have to send in?

TIA, Mary

Send it to Icecap 9B South Gold Drive Hamilton NJ 08691. We will get it repaired for you. It is difficult sometimes the tell the exact cause of the noise. Sometimes it may sound like a motor but the cause is actually the wet side.

I sent out my pump yesterday priority mail usps....anyway to tell when you get it? I'm a little nervous.....

Will keep you informed. The day I receive it it is worked on and repaired then put up on test. I never ship a repaired unit back the same day as I want it to run at least overnight.

UPDATE - We received the pump on the 17th at Icecap, replaced a defective motor, ran it on test overnight and was shipped back out to you via UPS on the 18th. I show it was delivered to you at 10:21 A.M. this morning, location - front door.
