Purchasing a used protein skimmer

I have a 75 gallon reef tank and am about to put a sump underneath instead of my canister that it came with. I have about 20" height clearance underneath. Would prefer to put it outside of sump but I dont have holes drilled in glass sump.

I am hoping to buy a used protein skimmer with pump on RC.

What would be a couple good make/models of skimmers?
What would be a couple good make/models of pumps?

What should I be careful of as a buyer?

I am a Euro-Reef fan..either the RS80 or RC80 should work for your setup. There are lots of other excellent skimmers, but those are the only one I have experience with.

It seems that many people agree after looking around. Do you think that one step larger in model would make a big difference? RS100 or RC135.

I am not sure. I am not one of those that believe in constant skimming (until I started with SPS corals that is). But the RS80 is sized for up to 200 gallons. That should be fine.
