Purigen or Chemi-pure?

These products were recommended to me by one source. I like to get many opinions. Are these safe for a reef tank? Is one better than the other?

I actually use both in my BC14....

Along with Algone. The combination works well for me, though they may be redundant....

I use 1/2 bag of Chem-pure and about 2 tablespoons of Purigen and my 12 gallon cube. Change it once a month

i use either or and swap back and forth. I also use carbon.
