Purple crocea

How common are purple crocea clams?

I saw a couple bright, grape jelly purple ones at Tropicorium a couple weeks back. I didn't pick one up at the time because my tank had been under vacation care for a few days and I didn't know if I'd be coming back to problems.

Now I'm kind of kicking myself since that's the only time I've seen that coloration (the secondary colors were black and white). I've found references that indicate they're not rare, but I haven't seen any for sale.

I always see purple at all my LFS. All Black and white seems to be rare over in my neck of the woods.

I just chose this guy recently because the only other crocea here are mostly purple througout like the edges of this one.
