I'm curious if anyone has any experience dying rock using RIT dye. I'm getting ready to switch my tank to a cube and I want purple rock this time. I'm probably going to order from APurple. I have a bunch of nice dry rock here from my last build tho. I experimented with the dye and it looks really good.my concern is is leaching into the water tho and turning it cloudy.
I figure I would just throw this out there maybe someone did it already. Thx

I think I remember a post here about people doing it..you might want to try a search for rit dye
It should not cause any problems.

RIT due is plant based, so should be fine

Why not just get a bottle of purple coralline algae spores. Not purple up "” it doesn't contain spores, just nutrients. This stuff"”

Naaa I just want the purple rock I like the look. I have some corraline in my tank now on drags and small spots. It just doesn't spread on my rock. It grows on my glass like nobodies business tho.
I actually don't even want it in my tank it's more of nuisance and competition for corals.
