I have a purple sea urchin that hitchhiked into my aquarium on my live rock. It is growing rapidly and is now bigger than a golf ball. Any reason I should remove it? It doesn't seem to cause any harm, but I am new to reef keeping.
Not if it is'nt causing any harm.
The reason why alot of people don't like them is they can eat the coraline off the live rock and they knock things over.
They eat algae and sometimes coraline so usually won't harm tankmates.
Ive kept them in the past and like them.
If it gets to be a problem you can then remove it.
