Purple Tang faded to white

This afternoon notice my Purple Tang had white patches and about 2 hours later had gone all white but the tail.

Seems okay, acting normal, eating like the pig has always been. Everything else in the tank okay. Nothing done to tank recently other than empty skimmer cup.

Had the tang for around 13 years and never seen this before.

Any stressors? usually these guys shift colors every night at lights out, but they will also do it during the photoperiod usually when stressed.

fact you are just noticing it after 13 yrs might be something else, Im not a fish disease expert

I have no clue on life expectancy, but 13 years is quite a while.
