just wondering what dia. PVC i should use for a couple of caves for a G. viridis about 3" long. right now i've got some 1" stuff on hand but should i go up to 1.5"? also, should i link them all together or keep each cave separate? should i make U shaped bends or just a straight length?

IMHO, I would make the pvc U shaped, and I would use 1 1/2 inch tubing, with lots of small rubble around both entrances. Then the mantis can make the entrances as big or small as it wants. I believe it needs to be big enough for the mantis to make a u turn in the tube. Good luck.
