pvc glue in the tank

so i made a little skimmer stand with pvc pipes and egg crate

will using pvc glue to attach the pipe to the egg crate be an issue?

Won't be an issue in the tank, but it probably won't work. PVC cement isn't actually sticky like glue. I used it to try to attach two pieces of plastic together and it didnt work at all. I think it only works with PVC.

Can you use zip ties instead?

Well, it's holding just fine out of water. NOt sure it will hold up in salt water, but it's just going to be a stand with a skimmer on top of it.
