I was wondering all of you that have super duper tanks, that have all pvc pipe plumbing, Did you use regular pvc pipe glue, or is there something special.

I got my 20 drilled and a stand and the tank next to the main, with 20 lbs of live sand and 5 pounds of cured LR.

I did a test run and use a plastic hose that has ridges running thru it, and man there was just tons of bubbles in the main tank.

would regular ole pvc pipe since its nice and smooth cut down on the bubbles?

And thanks for the Help

Use regular PVC primer and glue. Some people prefer the clear PVC glue because when it dries, it looks clean. I personally prefer the color glue so that I know that I have it covered.

As far as the bubbles, if the plastic hose no longer has air in it, but you are still getting bubbles - then it's most likely your input that is the problem. Having a smooth PVC will cut down on friction, thus increasing flow.

Minh is your plumbing king - but I will add that I also used the Blue Glue to make sure I did not miss anything - and since I am the only one looking at my plumbing I really dont care.

Regular old PVC pipe and Christy's brand Red Hot Blue Glue.

OK kool, I go tsome of the red hot blue glue, MAN that stuff dries fast, I got some extra pipe too, I have no need for it. Home depot only sold 10 foot pipes.

Just waiting for the glue to cure all the way and ill run some water thru it.

Ill get some pics on here tomorrow night.
