QC Area Pizza Party

Hello all,
I thought we would get the new year going with our first QC area GIRS event.

When:
Sunday Jan. 28th at around 3pm

This will be a good chance for the old salts to shoot the breeze and for the new members to join the club. If it is anything like last year it will be a good chance to trade frags and swap stuff.

As an added bonus Aquatic Evironments will be offering club's members a one day discount of 20%. So that should be cool. You can thank Allen for that one.

Actually, the AE deal was first worked out by Travis(Atticus), I just called and helped finalize.

I'd definately be interested in viewing both your tanks, as well as plumbing setups, etc.

I'm still pretty retarded when it comes to SW setups, so I'd ask alot of questions, but I'm trying to learn what i can before i sink my kids college money in my new hobby

I always like seeing yours ein. Alot of the same corals, all bob's stuff but two totally different systems. It will be cool to see if there are any coloration differences.

Hello thought it might be time to bump this up again. I talked to Adam at AE yesterday and am working on the flyer.

We do have one conflict in that the party is set to start at 3pm and AE closes at 4pm. Adam said he would stay open a little later for us but add beer, pizza, and a chance to BS about reefkeeping. I seem to remember this taking a few hours last year. So I am thinking that those that want to take advantage of the discount could head over there before the meeting. It's really up to you guys.

Hey what's the plan for this party? I have the weekend off actually and it's within driving distance, but I am on babysitting duty with my 2 year old that day. just wondering if it would be worth the drive for us both or not.

Heading over early makes sense to me. Do we want to set a time to meet over there?

It would also be good to idea so we can encourage some of the AE guys to go.

If everything goes smoothly the flyers will be out tommorrow.

Oh I was talking about AE not Old Chicago. I seem to remember gettting home at 9 or 10 after the last one I am in no hurry.


Anyway I made the flyers today. Made one for The Pet Depot and Teske's. Then made another one for AE. I fiqured the another two stores didn't want to promote AE's sale. There printed on nice heavy weight photo paper they look sharp.

I am going to make the rounds and get them out tommorrow.

The flyers are out at AE, Teske's and Pet Depot. Talked to The Pet Depots owner for a 20min. He stuck our flyer right in his display case right next to the cash register. Almost bought some flowerhorns like I need more tanks

I think I am going to print some more up and take them to the non-SW store as well.

I talked to Adam yesterday while I was in there at AE and he said that he was going to order more SPS for our visit. Hopefully we have a good turnout for his and our sakes.

He did have some nice stuff in there, I see some other Bill had the one I wanted on hold.
