Qt tank advice

Tell me if I have the ICH life cycle right. After ICH falls off the fish it needs a sand bed to reproduce? So if you put your fish into a Qt tank for 6 weeks that is BB you don't have to do hypo treatment or any other type. Am I right?

By the way i got this info from an article on this site. Can't find it thou.

No sand bed needed for ich to survive. It'll do just fine in a BB tank. You might want to re-research ich in the disease forum.

If you want to kill the ich, you'll need to hypo or copper treat the tank for 3+ weeks.

I agree. You still need to treat the QT tank somehow once you confirm the presence of ich.
