QT water parameters.

How do you guys keep your conditions in check during a QT Process? I am lucky I caught my CBB breathing heavily and immediately checked and my nitrates were through the roof. I have done a weekly 25% water change on the 20 long he is in because I am constantly feeding him a variety of foods to insure he is eating. What about when I dose copper and do a water change? I assume it's as simple as checking copper levels and then re-adjust?

I only check ammonia in QT, honestly nitrates get high, really high in my QT'' I don't consider nitrates an issue with fish. Heavy breathing typically indicates flukes, ammonia, or a protazoa/ bacterial indection. When doing a water change whit Cu redose the new water as needed.

This. In my case, I have a permanent quarantine setup with tank transfer for ich eradication before the fish get to QT. For tank transfer, Prime or equivalent, works well.
