Do you guys quarantine everything?

I've read this on your website:

Health of Marine Life:

Our curators personally select only the healthiest livestock which are then treated in our medicated quarantine system to remove parasites and reduce stress. Strict husbandry procedures are followed at all times to ensure optimum health of our livestock.

But.. in a post in this forum someone said they (themselves) are quarantining the fish for a few days.

I don't have a setup for quarantining at my home, so this is why I ask!

Thanks for the question. You really should QT all new fish no matter where you get them from. It is just best practices. The main reason is to alloww them to recover from handling in a controlled environment away from the potential stress caused by already established tankmates. During that QT period you can be watching for signs of infections and making sure the fish is going to eat your chosen food.

If you need more clarification on this, feel free to call us. 888-479-2583

Have a great New Years.
