Question about a 150G tank + stand

I have a friend that is looking to sell a 150G tank + stand (bottom and top part of stand) for 250 dollars. Everything looks pretty clean besides one crack at the top part of the stand. Only thing I am not 100% sure on yet and waiting on clarification if the glass is tempered or not. Is this a good price and what is the overall outcome of monthly/yearly cost to keep something this size running with about 8-10 fish? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If your just gonna keep some fish your yearly cost should be pretty low 2-3 buckets of salt roughly $180 some carbon and maybe gfo if needed another will say $100-200 food $100 and the added electricity

Hmm alrighty, is 250 dollars for a tank and stand a good deal if it can be drilled? I have no idea how much it cost brand new

If you do decide to get the tank, I would suggest that you get a quarantine tank setup as well, it might seem a lot to do but it will definitely save your fish and money!

Yeah if everything checks out with the tank and stand is still in sturdy condition its a pretty good deal. New i have seen 150's and Stand combos going for 800-1500

I bought a tank stand combo for a 36g bowfront for 90$ so gives you some perspective.

Is it a 6' tank? Brand new they can be purchased for around $300 as far as the stand goes I'd have no clue without seeing it but the value could be anywhere from throw it in the garbage to $1000 so you'll have to decide on that

I appreciate the help everyone. Turns out the tank cant be drilled since it is made of tempered glass. So back to searching
