Question about copper treatment and encysted Ich

So I have moved all of my fish to a HT to be copper treated for ich while I leave my tank fallow for 9-10 weeks. The problem is, it took a couple days to catch all the fish plus I let all the fish get use to the HT before I started copper. It total it has been about 7 days since the first fish went in until I just started the Cupramine. Does that mean that I now possibly have some ich in the encysted stage in my HT and, if they can last in that stage for up to 72 days, the fish can catch ich again after a 4 week copper treatment? Should I treat for 4 weeks, observe for 4 weeks, then maybe treat again the last week or 2 before they return to the DT? The HT does not have any substrate or rock, only PVC and a sponge filter.

I personally prefer moving fish from copper to the display. Depending on what fish you have, you can run copper the full duration, or any of the ways you already mentioned. Personally I'd go a 12 week fallow.

Thanks. Fish are a Blue Tang, Yellow Tang, 2 Ocellaris Clowns, and 1 Green Chromis in a 55 gallon HT. The Blue Tang is the only one showing visible ich so far and also has some HLLE which I am trying to reverse with good water and a varied diet supplemented with vitamins.

I think I introduced the ich with a damn snail I bought from Petco. I don't ever buy fish from there but didn't know ich could come in on a snail's shell until I read up more on it. :headwally:

So many ways ich can enter a display. You should be fine running a dose of .3ppm cupramine for an extended amount of time.
