Question about Kalkwasser

Hello all! I have had my reef tank set up for about a year now and I was thinking about getting into dosing. My question is, is there a reason for me to dose kalkwasser if I do weekly water changes on my tank? I use reef crystal salt. I keep LPS and softies mainly but would like to venture into a few easier SPS corals soon. Just not sure if it would benefit my tank as much as I feel haha. Thanks!

There are lots of great reasons, like keeping your alkalinity and pH more stable and helping to precipitate some phosphates as well. My tank never took off until I changed my ATO bucket to kalk instead of RO water, softies are pretty sensitive to alkalinity as well so it's not just for stony corals.
