Question about my xenia.

I have a Question about my Xenia. I have a frag of xenia that seems to be opened up allot. shrivles down at night and its actions seem healthy but it does not pulse. It may not be pulsing because of the amount of flow in my tank. I got it a week ago and it looks larger and way more open than it was in the display tank at the LFS but to me the petals or w.e look opened a little too much. I have a couple of pics on with flash one without let me know what you guys think. I am running 2x 175 watt metal halides about 14,000k around 8-9 hours a day on my 55g.

alk is 2.2 meq/l
ph is 8.0
sg 1.025
76-78 deg

some xenia just dont pulse as much as others, but if its looking healthy, id let it be.

try feeding iodine and turn the flow alittle down though they do like flow i have some and i dont recommend putting them on a big rock they will just keep growing and will not stop. they are good money makers lots of people like them and you can frag them almost every week or so. good luck

Try get your Alk up to around 3-4 meqs, and PH as close to 8.3 as possible, it usually does the trick.

Sounds to me like it may still be acclimating. I'd leave it be for the time being.
