Question about new wireless upgrade

I guess what upset me the most are two things.

1) They lowered the shipping price midstream and never bothered to reply to my email. Sure, they are going to give those that bought 3 or more a break, but what about the people that ordered 3 or more and got the shipping discount? It really only comes down to $10 or so in my case but it's the principle of the whole thing.

2) They took preorders before even getting FCC approval. Would people have jumped on it as quickly if they had known there was a chance of total redesign due to failure from the FCC?

Other than that I can't wait to get my controllers and still plan to buy one more.

Was there ever really much chance the FCC would require a total redesign? I don't think they're using some unknown cutting-edge RF technology here. I mean, TECHNICALLY, up to a point the FCC could require such a thing, but it doesn't seem very likely. They're just slow, and they move slower the more you want them to move quickly. As someone who works in the wireless industry I've seen that before, but if Ecotech's engineers haven't, I can understand why they may have assumed the process was just a formality and so would be over quickly. Mostly, it IS just a formality. Its the quick part that rarely happens!

as an early adopter I definitely would. look at those people that waited in line for the IPHONE. I am glad ECOTech gave me the chance!

Yeh, it sucks waiting in the line to have a chance to wait in the next line, and the first one is not even moving :(

I should really stop checking here, it is driving me nuts.

IMO, everyone one should stop bothering Tim with questions about when it will be approved. I am sure he will announce when they will ship. Besides you can check for your self at this FCC Link by putting "VKB" in the "Grantee Code:" box.

This way Tim can spend less time answering questions and more time working on the business of getting the WWD out the door.
