Vinyl or spa hose?
Vinyl- Not necessary. Hose clamps work fine. Plastics for submersed applications....
Spa hose- I've used regular PVC cement with no problems. A wise man once told me to use the blue glue.....
Either way, once any of the glues/cements are dry, there is no worries. :)
