Question about recoloring.

I have a decent size colony of Pink BN that I tried to keep about two years ago. My water quality wasn't that great back then and it browned out rtn etc. Since then my water quality is where I want it. Now all of my newer sps frags including Acros, millies have either kept color, or colored up better. Great learning experience, just a shame the pink BN had to be the guinea pig. It's never colored back up to what it should look like. How long does it usually take for such an easy piece to color back up?

If everything is prefect, about a month. It still might not like a parms, spectrum or something else.

What you need to figure out is if the newer stuff just hasn't had time to go downhill, if you are in a holding pattern for all frags, or if the brown stuff just needs more time. It could be any one of the three (or more).

I've had an Acro that was pretty decent looking at the LFS completely color up in my tank within a few weeks. Seems everything is doing better except the BN. I've tried different flow rates, raised it up and lowered and nothing. Next I'll frag it and put it in my frag tank where I have a MH and see what happens. Could be spectrum, guess we'll see.
